Leaves of Absence

General Order 014
.
To:    All Officers
Purpose:    To provide a procedure for an officer to be absent from command without losing club status.

Orders:
.
1. Leaves of  1.1 Officers may request leaves of absence from their commander for any amount of time up to
    Absence:        one year.
.
.        1.1.1 Army Commanders approve leaves of absence for any officer in their command.
       1.1.2 Theater Commanders approve leaves of absence for Army Commanders.
.
2. Short Term 2.1 A Short Term Leave of Absence is defined as a leave not to exceed three months.
      Leave of
.     Absence:        2.1.1 Officers will retain their position of command, but will be excused from muster
                  requirements or from playing requirements for the duration of their leave.
       2.1.2  If a Division or Corps Commander receives approval for a Short Term Leave of
.                   Absence a temporary replacement may be appointed. The replacement will receive
                  any Admin, Army, or corps Points during the term of such service.

. 3. Long Term: 3.1 A Long Term Leave of Absence is defined as leave extending beyond three months, not to
    Leave of        exceed one year.
.     Absence:
       3.1.1 Officers with approval of a Long Term Leave of Absence will be re-assigned to the
                  Army Reseerve Corps in accordance with AoA-007.
.
4. Expiration: 4.1 The Army Commander will send a Leave of Absence Expiration Notice to any officer with
       leave about to expire.

       4.1.1 Failure to respond to a Leave of Absence Expiration notice will result in the officer
                 being re-assigned to the Army Invalid Corps or Hospital in accordance with AoA-008.
