Army Structure and Guidelines
.
General Order 006
.
To:    All Officers
Purpose:    To provide a uniform structure for the Army of Alabama with procedures
  for implementing the structure of the Army.
.
References:    None
Orders:
.
1. Organization: 1.1 The span of Command of the Army at each level will be limited to four:
.
       1.1.1 Four Corps consisting of:
       1.1.2 Four Divisions each, consisting of:
       1.1.3 Four Brigades
.
1.2 A fourth corps will not be activated unless the first three corps are at
       maximum capacity.
.
1.3 It is at the discretion of the Army Commander to approve/establish the
.        the types of units that make up the Army, except for the Invalid Corps,
       which will comprise of beds.
.
2. Active Units: 2.1 Active units at each level will require at least two active subordinate units.
.
       2.1.1 Two active corps for a functioning Army
       2.1.2 Two active divisions for an active Corps
       2.1.3 Two active brigades for an active Division
.
. 3. Removal of 3.1 Units not meeting the minimum structural requirements will be removed
.     Inactive Units:        at the discretion of the Commander.
.
       3.1.1 An Army with less than two active Corps will be disbanded, at the
                 discretion of the Commander of the Armies, CSA.
.
                 3.1.1.1 Re-assignment of the officers of disbanded armies will be
                               at the discretion of the Commander of the Armies, CSA.
.
       3.1.2 A Corps with less than two active Divisions will be disbanded, at
                  the discretion of the Theater Commander.
.
                  3.1.2.1 Re-assignment of the officers of a disbanded corps will be
                                at the discretion of the Theater Commander.
.
       3.1.3 A Division with less than to active Brigades will be disbanded, at
.                   the discretion of the Army Commander.
.
                  3.1.3.1 Re-assignment of the offers of disbanded divisions will
.                                at the discretion of the Army Commander.
.
4. Holding of Offices 4.1 No officers of the Army of Alabama shall hold two command and/or
     staff positions simultaneously.
.
        4.1.1 Officers elected to or appointed to higher command or staff
                 positions within the club shall relinquish command of any lower
                 command or staff position presently held at AoA.
.
        4.1.2 Temporary assignment of another officer to fill a lower command
                 or staff position is at the discretion of the Army Commander.
.
         4.1.3 Temporary or interim assignment to a higher position, or an
                  otherwise caretaker situation are not affected by AoA-006.4.1.
