| Purpose: | To provide operational and administrative procedures for the implementation and | |||||
| utilization of the Army of Alabama's Invalid Corps or Hospital. | ||||||

| . | ||||||
| 1. Organization: | 1.1 The Army shall maintain an Invalid Corps or Hospital for those officers who | |||||
| . | cease participating or otherwise "disappear". | |||||
| . | ||||||
| 1.2 The Invalid Corps shall exist to provide an true indication to the Army | ||||||
| Commander of the active members in his command. | ||||||
| . | ||||||
| 1.3 Officers assigned to the Invalid Corps shall not maintain a Staff or Command | ||||||
| . | position within the Army, nor be permitted to represent the Army of Alabama | |||||
| in any game play, and will be shown only in the Invalid Corps. | ||||||
| . | ||||||
| 1.4 The Army Commander will send an AWOL Notification or Expiration of | ||||||
| Leave Notice when an officer is re-assigned to the Invalid Corps. | ||||||
| . | ||||||
| 1.5 An officer will be re-assigned to the Invalid Corps when he has missed muster | ||||||
| or has not been involved in a active game for two consecutive months without | ||||||
| an approved Leave of Absence, or has failed to respond to an Expiration of | ||||||
| Leave of Absence Notice. | ||||||
| . | ||||||
| 2. Duration: | 2.1 An officer will remain in the Invalid Corps until he requests re-instatement | |||||
| to command, or is discharged from active service. | ||||||
| . | ||||||
| 2.2 An officer's length of stay in the Invalid Corps shall be as follows: | ||||||
| . | ||||||
| 2.2.1 Any officer, Field Lieutenant through Colonel, shall be re-assigned | ||||||
| to the Invalid Corps for a term not to exceed 120 days. | ||||||
| 2.2.2 Any officer of General rank shall be re-assigned to the Invalid Corps | ||||||
| for a term not to exceed 180 days. | ||||||

| . | 3. Discharge: | 3.1 The Army Commander will send a Discharge Notification to those officers | ||||
| . | whose term in the Invalid Corps is about to expire. | |||||
| . | ||||||
| 3.2 Officers who fail to respond to a Discharge Notification will be discharged | ||||||
| from active service and stricken from the rolls. | ||||||
